I am a trained cinematographer turned portrait photographer after working over a decade in the film industry. I studied at NSCAD University (Halifax, NS) with the best image-makers in the country, allowing me to work on over 25 films over the last decade including popular Canadian shows such as Being Erica (CBC), The Latest Buzz (YTV) and Flashpoint (CTV). I also worked for the Atlantic Film Festival (AFF) and AFCOOP (Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative) during my time in Nova Scotia.

My photography is influenced by my previous career, in which I believe telling one's story is essential to create dramatic portraits that capture your unique truth. The art of portraiture is about creating a balance between the microcosm and macrocosm, which relates to the inner and outer dimensions of a person's character. The secret of dynamic photography is the art of capturing the internal, which creates the foundation of a successful portrait. My photography ethos is based on authenticity and power, which are the key ingredients to makes images that last a lifetime.
